Full marks for innovation go to this bar: from the portholes on the outside to the deck-dancefloor combo on the inside, El Doblón is certainly easy on the eyes, if not on the wallet. One word of warning: 33cl of water was a painful 5 euros, so bear that in mind before you start on the generous tumblers of rum. In the background the bassy tones of a stunningly catchy house remix of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme kept us partying all night. While the drinks on offer may not be the most unique - Heineken rules supreme - the design certainly was, and this place is definitely worth a visit for its zany atmosphere and sheer novelty in this corner of Salamanca.
